World of Goo is one of the most prolific indie games ever released. It, along with a few other titles, was responsible for the explosive emergence of the modern indie-gaming market in the late 2000s. Its success could be attributed to the high quality gameplay achieved for a fraction of normal development costs, novel design and physics-based gameplay, as well as the refreshingly down to earth, community-friendly developer attitude.
