By Sharkster HACKING IS A CANCER TO COMPETITIVE ONLINE GAMING! We take the battle against hackers seriously and since Wasabi Build V0.73, TOXIKK is VAC (Valve Anti Cheat) enabled. VAC is a VERY effective way to sort out hackers. If someone got VAC banned on another game before, chances are (depending on how often he got banned and/or how severe the cheating was) he’ll not be able to log into any other VAC secured titles again!

HOW DOES VAC WORK?

VAC doesn’t insta-ban cheaters and hackers. Instead it looks for signatures of reported and installed hack software. If you are aware of any hack software, you can send a PM to the VAC team (requires an account on the official STEAM forums). A VAC team member will take a look at it and set it on the list of hacks to scan for.

Once enough evidence is provided, VAC does prune hackers in batches. So, if you encounter (and report) a hacker today, there’s a good chance he’ll still be there tomorrow, but be banned at some later point (together with a bunch of other guys using that same hack method).

WILL HACKERS BE BANNED ON OFFICIAL SERVERS ONLY?

No. They’ll be banned on EVERY server that is listed and accessible through the game’s internal server browser and through STEAM’s server browser. This, of course, also includes privately hosted dedicated servers.

SHOULD I REPORT INDIVIDUAL HACKERS?

Absolutely. The best way to report them is through STEAM. This is also the way that complies best with VAC measures (i.e. the info will be used to convict already assumed hackers).
