She must now fend for herself, putting into use all the valuable lessons her mother taught her. Thrown too early into this beautiful but perilous world she will have to seek shelter, hunt for food, and survive the dangers of the wild. But she is not alone. During the journey, an unlikely friendship will blossom between the baby lynx and a young bear, as the two animals bond against the hardships of living away from home.
